Final Answer?

I have come up with a decision considering the entry I made earlier.

The question was: whether I should stay in Japan or go on an internship to India. Well the answer wasn't so hard to find. The key to the answer was that the two options were not mutually exclusive.

WHY NOT TRY TO DO BOTH THINGS? ha, I'm a greedy guy, that's what I have decided on.

So here are my plans for the next couple of months:

-July: Earn money from part time job, apply for internships in Japan, find an internship in India or some other country, think think think about my future, drink drink drink with my friends...

-August: Internship in Japan(hopefully I will pass at least one company), meet a very important person for me in Japan (guess who? haha), participate in the HPAIR conference, prepare for my internship abroad, think think think through experience, drink drink drink without fear...

-September: head off for an internship for 6 months at max.

So basically I will be in Japan till the end of August. Till then I have to do tons of stuff, I have no time to be bored at all! Better be ready for action every single day.

A final thought: I think it isn't necessary to write any more in this blog under the title "Life in Ann Arbor" (pretty obvious why)... I think I will start writing in another blog with a new title. So better finish up with my entries about the Mexico trip... and I'll let you know when I start up a new blog! cya--

I am now considering whether I should go on an internship to India or stay in Japan for a while. If I decide to stay in Japan, I can do the following things: attend the HPAIR conference, get back to my studies, look for an domestic internship, work on gaining some skills / qualifications. A very difficult choice but I know either choice would give me a really good experience. I can do a lot of things if I stay, but moving on with life in a totally new environment as of that in India really attracts me.

These days, I am trying to think more about what I really want to do after I gain my bachelor's degree. To come up with an answer to the above question, I need to calculate backwards from what I am thinking of doing after graduation. Then I can decide if I should go on an internship or not.

Here's a brief thought before conducting this calculation: If I decide to go on the internship, I will be away from Japan for at least half a year, and I need to make up my mind to skip another semester at Todai. How will that affect my job hunting schedule, and possibly even my graduation schedule??

Keep an eye out for any updates on my next career course... If anyone has any advice, I'm really eager to hear from you!!

Trip to Nasu !!

b0019470_446225.jpgI had a chance to go to Nasu with a bunch of my Japanese AIESEC friends last weekend. We rented 2 cars and went with a total of 14 ppl. It was so fun!!

Since Japan has already gone into rainy season (梅雨) we were really worried about the rain. Unfortunately, it rained pretty hard on the first day, so all we did was walk through a small gorge that was surrounded by woods and go to a nice onsen. Then at night we were planning to have a BBQ party, but since we couldn't due to weather problems, we made gyoza and yakiniku. It was so delicious!!! And of course we had TONS of alcohol to drink, haha. We all got drunk and played silly games.

On the second day, we climbed up a little mountain called Asahidake. It turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day on this day (and I really mean it!) so the view during our hike up was magnificient!! Chou kandou shita!!

Then we went to an onsen called Oomaru onsen, and this place was awesome as well. The onsen constituted a part of a small creek, so the outdoor hot spring bath was soooo nice! I loved it:)

Here are the pics that I took during this trip.
